Become the Engineer Behind the Solutions of Tomorrow

The world needs new energy solutions, smarter technologies and sustainable ways of living. But most of all, it needs people who are willing to take on the challenge.

At AAU Energy, you can be one of them!

Here, you will learn how to develop the technologies that drive the green transition, work on authentic engineering projects and become part of a vibrant student environment.

A Study Environment Where Students Thrive

Choosing a university is about more than academic content. It is also about finding a place where you feel welcome and motivated.

AAU Energy is known for its supportive study environment where students consistently highlight the strong sense of belonging.

Students support each other, learn from each other and challenge each other constructively. Within the problem-based project work, there is room to pursue your own interests, explore new ideas and immerse yourself in the topics that inspire you most. Whether you thrive through teamwork or academic exploration, you will find opportunities to grow both personally and professionally.

Challenging, Rewarding and Worth It

An education within energy and engineering is not the easy path, and it is not meant to be.

You will be challenged to think critically and develop a solid understanding of science, technology and engineering. The studies require commitment and perseverance.

However, you will not face these demands alone. You will work with fellow students and academic staff. Many students discover that the challenges become easier to overcome when they are part of a supportive environment with shared ambitions.

Engineering Fundamentals for a Sustainable Society

The green transition requires new ways of producing and using energy; in the AAU Energy study programmes,  you will explore how engineering can contribute to sustainable solutions and help address some of society's most pressing needs.

To do so, you need a solid foundation in mathematics, physics and engineering principles while developing the ability to analyse, design and improve complex technical systems. You will work with advanced methods and tools, including modelling, simulation, optimisation, artificial intelligence and experimental techniques to analyse and solve real-world engineering challenges.

You will also see that learning is an active process – where you will not just study engineering. You will practise being an engineer.
