How the research group - E-Mobility and Drives is linked to AAU Energy missions

Digital Transformation and AI

Increased automation and Industry 4.0 require highly efficient and reliable drive systems. In addition, AI can provide new design and control opportunities to achieve optimized performance in handling complex tasks without significant cost outlays.

Energy Efficiency

We improve the energy efficiency of essential components, e.g. electric machines, hydraulic actuators, power electronic converters, needed in various energy conversion systems.

Electrification and Integration

A main motivation of our work is to propose electric drive solutions, which either reduce or eliminate the need for the internal combustion engine, e.g. in mobile or off-road applications. In addition, the vehicle-grid integration is essential for the renewable energy system of the future.
