As power grids become more digitalized, the risk of cyberattacks increases. Power Sentinel, a spin-out from Aalborg University, is the world’s first non-invasive safeguard device providing constant cybersecurity protection for power systems.

Power Sentinel addresses the increasing risk by unifying communication and control layers through innovative signal filtering technology, detecting and removing threats instantly. This plug-and-play device reduces data sharing needs, improves response times, and decreases design time and planning, ensuring a stable and reliable energy supply.

Supported by an Innoexplorer grant, Power Sentinel is based on years of research by Assistant Professor Subham Sahoo. AAU Technology Transfer Office facilitated much of the development of the company.
