Education within Modern Power Transmission Grids
Modern Power Transmission Grids (Powergrids) supports the following courses:

Bachelor and Master projects
A total of 60+ bachelor projects and 60+ master projects have been supervised by members of the research group. Some selected projects are:
- Insulation coordination study of a new 400 kV gas insulated substation (Daníel Ólason and Thomas Ebdrup). Publication of 2 papers in CIGRE
- Steady-state FEM modelling of three phase armoured cables (Nicola Viafora, Matteo Bau, Chris Hansen, Laurids Dall, Nicolae Badulescu) Publication of 2 papers in IEEE, with one wining an award for best paper
- Analysis of harmonic distortion in a modern transmission grid (Chris Hansen and Kristian Lund). Winner of the IDA-E award for best Danish thesis in the area of electrical engineering.
- MVAC submarine cable, impedance & magnetic field – Measurements and analysis (Adrian Expethit, Sebastian Sørensen, Morten Pedersen, Martin Arentsen, Dominique Sørensen). Publication of 2 papers in IEEE
- Voltage Unbalance caused by the Electrification of the Danish Railway (Troels Jakobsen, Morten Vadstrup, Jakob Poulsen, Maria Stenseth, Richard Mushimiye). Publication of 2 papers in IEEE
- Partial Discharge and Corona of High Frequency Transformer for Space Application in Near Vacuum (Martin Arentsen). Winner of the IDA-E award for best Danish thesis in the area of electrical engineering. Publication of 2 conference papers
