Introduction to Fluid Power Technology
Vision
Our vision is to support researchers in bringing forward sustainable, cost-competitive fluid power technology ideas, accelerating energy savings, and supporting sustainable use of resources to the world. This is sought by creating a collaborative research environment attracting national and international research collaboration. It is a vision of the Research Group that no research ideas are left untried and that the research portfolio includes projects with internal, external, national, and international collaboration partners.
Mission
Our mission is to enable sustainable and cost-competitive fluid power technologies accelerating energy savings and supporting sustainable use of resources in main energy consuming sectors, such as construction, transportation, manufacturing, and renewable power generation.
Introduction to Fluid Power
The" Fluid Power Technology" research group's efforts are concentrated around three classes of core activities: development of new components, designing new and better systems, and development of advanced control strategies, including fault detection and diagnostics and fault-tolerant control.
All activities are based on a truly mechatronic design approach and a strong combination of theoretical work, simulation, experimental testing and validation. The work thus benefits from the department's multi-disciplinary expertise area while combining the key areas of fluid technology, electrical and mechanical engineering, optimization and control theory.
