Center for Research on Smart Battery

The Center for Research on Smart Battery (CROSBAT) is a budding research group affiliated with the Department of Energy at Aalborg University. Recognizing the increasing reliance on Li-Ion batteries, particularly in the transportation electrification sector, CROSBAT is committed to exploring and enhancing Smart Battery technology. As we navigate the complexities of energy density, cost, and performance, our focus remains on addressing the CO2 footprint challenge. Our approach integrates AI and a unique bypass system for each cell in large battery packs, aiming for improved battery longevity and fault-tolerant operations.
