Introduction to Batteries
The Batteries research group carries out leading edge research and education at international level on various aspects of batteries. The core activities are related, but not limited, to development of algorithms for battery state estimation and lifetime prediction and their implementation on, for example, smart batteries or other platforms. The parametrization is carried out based on data harvested either from our state-of-the-art laboratory (link) or from field operation and using machine learning techniques.
The applications of batteries range from electric vehicles and grid-connected energy storage systems to nanosatellites and robots.
