Mission-profile-based Testing Facilities for Commercial PV Inverters

Testing Capabilities

Mission Profile-based Testing

The advanced PV inverter testing infrastructure offers a possibility to test the inverter under mission profile operation (e.g., emulating real-field condition). Key parameters such as temperature stress, power losses, and efficiency can be monitored during the test.

Standard Testing

The test facility also offers a standard testing condition for PV inverter, e.g., EN 50503 for maximum power point tracking efficiency, IEC 62093 for design qualification testing.

Dynamic Measurement under Disturbances

The PV inverter can also be tested under the disturbance from the electrical network, e.g., unbalance and faults. The test conditions can be emulated through grid simulator.

Long Term Degradation/lifetime Testing

The test facility offers an opportunity to realize a long-term operation for degradation and lifetime testing at the converter-level (e.g., system-level testing). The standard testing for design and qualification, e.g., IEC 62093, and/or the customized mission profile can be applied.
