This course introduces PhD students to a broad range of emerging energy technologies and integrated energy systems, addressing the global transition toward low-carbon and intelligent energy infrastructures. Participants will explore the fundamentals of renewable energy sources, energy conversion and transmission systems, and optimization and control methods. The course includes nuclear energy systems, in particular, Fusion technology, as foundational low-carbon technologies and discusses their control systems through real-world research and industrial examples. The use of Artificial Intelligent in energy system analysis and optimization is also covered, reflecting recent developments in smart grid and system-wide decision support tools. Some of the course content is based on the latest research findings in the field.
Important information concerning PhD courses
The Doctoral School has decided to introduce a no-show fee of DKK 3000 for each course where the student does not show up. Cancellations are accepted no later than 2 weeks before the start of the course. Registered illness is of course an acceptable reason for not showing up on those days. Furthermore, all courses open for registration approximately four months before start.
