The course counts for 3 ECTS credit. All students will receive a diploma stating participation in the course.

Remarks - workload:
In total about 61 hours (28,5 teaching, 8 hours for practicing on the courses, 12 hours for prepartion, 8 hours for finalizing the project/report and 4,5 hours to examination (quiz and eport) )

Evaluation form: Participants will be assessed through a series of exercises and a final report submission.

Criteria for assessment: Exercises:  Relevance and Accuracy: The ability to correctly apply course concepts in the completion of exercises. Problem-Solving: Demonstration of effective problem-solving skills and the ability to address the practical challenges posed in the exercises. Final Report Submission:  Depth of Analysis: The final report should showcase a comprehensive understanding of the course material, with in-depth analysis and application of key concepts. Clarity and Organization: The report should be well-structured, clearly written, and logically organized, with a coherent argument and thorough explanation of the chosen topic. Application of Knowledge: The report should effectively apply theoretical knowledge to a practical scenario or case study, demonstrating the participant's ability to integrate and synthesize the course content.

Selected articles, book chapters, presentations and software will be announced to the participants at the course site in PhD moodle.

Outside of AAU
If you are from outside Aalborg University and you wish to enroll in one of our PhD courses, you must create a profile. This is done by clicking on “create new account” and filling out the form in PhD Moodle.

Cancellation
Cancellations are accepted no later than 2 weeks before the start of the course. The Doctoral School has a no-show fee of DKK 3.000 for each course where the student does not show up.

Registered illness sent to the course organizer and the aauphd@aau.dk is of course an acceptable reason for not showing up on those days.

Diploma
All passed participants will receive a diploma as a PDF file.
The Doctoral School kindly ask for your patience, as it might take a while before you receive the final course diploma. This is due to the process of gathering evaluations.
