Topic, background and motivation:

Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) has been successfully used for improved understanding, trouble shooting, innovations of technologies and facilities in numerous areas such as energy, mechanical, environmental, health, chemical, food, and pharmaceutical industry. This advanced CFD course will provide a familiarity with and an in-depth understanding of fundamentals of CFD, turbulence modelling, multiphase flow modelling, reacting flow modelling, and user-defined functions and expressions, focusing on the common knowledge behind the overwhelming majority of the commercial, open-source, and in-house CFD codes/tools.

Important information concerning PhD courses

The Doctoral School has decided to introduce a no-show fee of DKK 3000 for each course where the student does not show up. Cancellations are accepted no later than 2 weeks before the start of the course. Registered illness is of course an acceptable reason for not showing up on those days. Furthermore, all courses open for registration approximately four months before start.
