Abstract:

The Department of Electrical and Information Engineering at Cassino University will be presented giving information on the size of the laboratories, staff and research groups. It will be presented in detail the power systems group with a brief discussion of some of the most recent topics of research activities.

 

Short bio

Paola Verde since 2001 has been Full Professor of Power Systems at the University of Cassino, where she has spent her entire career since 1990.

 

Currently, she is a member of the Evaluation Body of University of Cassino, Scientific Responsible of the Cassino Unit, Component of the Committee for the Sustainable Development of Unicas, Senior Member of IEEE - PES.

She served as President of the University Center for Orientation of UniCas, Chair of the Council of Studies in Electrical Engineering from 2002 to 2009 and Director of the Department of Industrial Engineering from 2009 to 2010, Scientific Director of the Laboratory of Power Systems (1999-2006).
She is included in the Permanent Register of Reviewers of the Ministry of University and Scientific Research, in the list of experts for the evaluation of system research projects of the electricity sector by the National Authority for Electricity. She has authored and/or co-authored more than 100 scientific publications on Power Systems topics. Her scientific activity has been carried out both with funding from public and private entities and with ministerial grants.
