The fuel cell systems research group is equipped with a world class laboratory facility for testing fuel cell and electrolyzer cells, stacks and complete integrated systems, and other hydrogen related technologies, such as test facilities to characterize catalytic processes for hydrogen production.
The available test equipment consists of commercial test stations combined with several in-house setups, a climatic chamber, cooling container, and several gas analyzers and frequency analyzers for electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The entire laboratory is equipped with ventilation systems, electricity connections and gas alarms that support using explosive gases. The laboratory is supplied with a range of gases from an external facility.
The laboratory supports the research and educational programmes within the fuel cell and hydrogen production research area but is open for other research groups upon request.
