Vision and Goal of THE RESEARCH GROUP - Electronic Power Grid (eGrid)
The vision of the eGrid research group is to develop methods and tools for secure, stable and resilient power-electronics-based power systems.
The research group on Electronic Power Grid (eGrid) is focusing on the following areas:
- Medium-/high-voltage, megawatt power electronic converters
- Digital twins and model-based design of power electronics converters and systems
- Security, stability and power quality of modern power electronic based power systems
- Dynamic interoperability of multi-vendor converter-based power infrastructure
- Analytical modeling of multi-timescale dynamics of converter-based systems
- Black-box” modeling and validation of power electronics systems
- Control of power electronics for resilient system integration
how THE RESEARCH GROUP - Electronic Power Grid (eGrid) IS LINKED TO AAU ENERGY MISSIONS
Power electronics has been widely used in Renewable Energy generation, Electrification of transportation and various industry sectors. The Research Group is focused on the grid integration of power-electronic-based sources, transmission/distribution systems, and loads.
