Professor Francesco Iannuzzo is looking forward to chairing a webinar, which will bridge the gap from the 2019 IWIPP workshop to the 2022 IWIPP workshop. Professor Iannuzzo is hoping that the 2022 event can be held as a physical meeting, but in the meantime, this year’s webinars will allow attendees to participate across global time zones.
The Power Sources Manufacturers Association (PSMA) and IEEE societies (PELS, EPS, DEIS) are sponsoring a free webinar series the last week in August 2021. The webinar series is a corridor event made possible by the financial support of our sponsors, with the intention of bridging the gap from the 2019 IWIPP workshop to the 2022 IWIPP workshop.
The IWIPP (IWIPP) corridor webinar series will consist of three (3) 2.5-hour webinar sessions. Each session will address a different set of applications and technology advances. The sessions will be on Monday August 23, Wednesday August 25, and Friday August 27. Each session will begin at 7:00 AM CDT (2 PM CEST). There will be three presentations per session. Each presentation will be approximately twenty-five minutes in length. There will be a panel-style question and answer sessions at the end of each webinar event. Each webinar session will remain open until the presenters answer all the questions submitted. The program for the webinar events can be found at Full Program – IWIPP.
Attendees have always recognized the IWIPP Workshop as a high-value event that brings together global academic and industry experts to formally and informally discuss issues to advance and productize packaging, materials, and system technologies. As Dr. Francesco Iannuzzo, Professor, Aalborg University, Chair for the 2022 Workshop and the 2021 Corridor Webinar has indicated, "… the 2021 webinar series will fill a void in the timing of the live workshop series created by the COVID-19 pandemic by providing exciting updates on Power Modules, Power Packaging and Materials"
Registration for the corridor webinar is now open Registration – IWIPP. The webinar series will be free of charge but the number of attendees that can register will be limited; therefore, we advise you to register early.
Registered attendees for the workshop will have access to the presentations prior to the webinar series. This will allow registered attendees to submit questions in advance of the webinars. Recording of the presentations and panel Q&A will be made available to registered attendees after the webinar series is completed. This will allow registered attendees across global time zones to conveniently access the presentations and submit questions.
